Fly little one!.... or don't
Well I have been spending more time with my paper... Started out with some folded books to make desk tidy's as so..
Then I went about making a new art piece from the pages of a 30's book on gardening technique.
Then Kate posted a really cool article over at getpainted.co.uk (our other site) on the how-to's of making a radically little paper kite for kids. So in that spirit I will be making a tutorial blog post shortly on the making of a paper tree like this one above. It's fun and creative and you can do most of it while watching a show.
I personally really like the idea (simple as it is) of a tree that grew, was turned to paper, published on how to grow other trees and then in the end turned back in to a 'tree' in this sense. There's some sort of 'cycle of life' thing going on there that gives me the warm fuzzy.
By the way all these items and more are available till they're not in the Idyllia store

In your Clutches
Dateline Colchester - The Secret Vintage fair was fantastic! Lovely venue and a great group of vendors in attendance. The lineups out the castle and down the street were unexpected on my part but it did fare well for all.
We're about to embark on a new project here to make a vintage book in to a stylish clutch. Kate and I are going to collaborate on this one, with her ninja sewing abilities and my hack and slash paper cutting skills this should turn out brilliantly. Stay tuned for some updates on this...
